Studio portraits tend to be the most forgiving photography there is. I have full control of all aspects of your photos from background to soft skin. My goal s always to compliment my subject. Men tend to look a little better with a shadow on one side of their faces. Where women typically like being photographed with even lighting.
I am a massive fan of experimenting with light. In a typical session I will adjust my lights several times and switch out the backdrop at least once. It is far more than just pressing a button and getting you on your way. I talk while I photograph and try hard to set my clients at ease and make the experience easy and enjoyable. The result is lots of different looks to choose from.
We all tend to see ourselves much differently than how the rest of the world sees us. While I can control many aspects of the photograph, there tends to be an enlightened experience that happens by spending time in front of the camera. We begin to see ourselves how others see us. It is usually quite empowering.
And for those of us who can be critical about certain aspects of ourselves, there is always Photoshop. Feel free to request a lift or a tuck. I am happy to do it but it will be subtle.
