I LOVE music!  When I purchased my first professional camera I had the bright idea that maybe I could make a living photographing my favorite bands.  So, I looked up who was coming to town and I contacted their promoter and at first offered to photograph for free.  They all said yes!!!  When I felt my skills and portfolio were mature, I then attempted to charge for my work.  It was a flop!  Not one band took me up on my offers.  

My love for music hasn't changed and I continue to photograph live shows.  But today, I am more than happy to do it for a press pass and access to the security aisle (in front of the front row).  

The first band I ever photographed was Dream Theater.  That show was my first exposure to their music and I will forever be a fan.  Each of their members is an absolute  virtuoso and highly relatable / likable.  If you aren't already familiar with their music then please check them out.
